Regional Officer’s report. This
had been made available to all members. The RO thanked all the committee
members for their hard work. A presentation was made to Phillip Clint
for his hard work as RO. Shirley Turner was thanked for doing the
bookings for Cober Hill. The RO remarked on the small number of members
from South Yorkshire at the AGM. Anita Bulwer suggested holding the AGM
on Saturday afternoon and this proposal will be considered by the
committee. The report was accepted: proposed by Catherine Harrison and
seconded by Shirley Turner. A presentation was made to Heather Fleet for
taking over as acting RO when Phillip Clint became Wheel Treasurer.
-
Regional Training Officer’s
report. The RO summarised the written report sent in by Jane Short. It
was reported that teachers can go to other regions for IST if unable to
manage to attend one in their own region. The cost will remain at a very
reasonable £20 with maximum 30 students. Cober Hill qualified as IST as
did National Congress and First Aid courses. Jane Short intends to stand
down in 2008 and appealed for a volunteer to take over. The report was
accepted unanimously, proposed by Breeda Dillon and seconded by Prue
Stanton.
-
Regional Treasurer’s report. A
written report was presented to the members. A healthy balance was
reported with money being generated by IST and by Cober Hill. There was
also £1000 from central office which was to be used for marketing
purposes. Any member over 80 would have their membership fee refunded as
a thank you for their services to yoga. Mandy Balls reported that she
would be standing down in 2008 and appealed for someone to take over
this role. The report was accepted unanimously.
